When discussing your hearing loss treatment with us we will talk you through the options available to you. The best instrument for you will depend on your type of hearing loss, degree of loss, lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.

Hearing instruments vary in price according to the features, style and technology level. You may be eligible for government funding to assist with these costs.

The average hearing device should last between 4-6 years. Maintaining your instruments will help it last even longer.

Two devices, is better than one; however if you only have hearing loss in one ear, one instrument may be enough. Through our evaluations of our hearing we will be able to make recommendations either way.

You will enjoy many benefits and outcomes of the treatment of your hearing loss. However, your hearing device is not able to restore, or “cure” your hearing. Rather they provide you with improved communication, allow you to hear soft sounds, prevent loud sounds from becoming uncomfortably loud, improve your listening abilities and substantially improve your quality of life.

As with all health care, this will vary from person to person. It does take time to adjust to hearing sounds louder than usual; however with proper maintenance, and ensuring you attend follow up appointments and adjustments, listening will become an enjoyable experience again.
